The story of Former US Army Lt Jabil D. Sayibu now a US Department of Defense Financial Management Analyst cannot be left untold to the world. This young man was born in Changli, Tamale to a humbly but hardworking parents who would not spare any pesewa to educate him. His parents were poor but very determined to educate him to attain a better status in life. His father, a well know “painter” in Tamale was all the time seen with him on his Phoenix bicycle all around to do his painting job. Mr. Jabil was noted for been a “tough” guy in his vicinity and the whole of Tamale. Most of his peers in Tamale Secondary School (Tamasco) recognized his determination to succeed. This young man struggled through thick and thin to finally become a Commissioned Officer in the US Army. The story of this gentleman is miraculous, considering the unpredictability of the journey to his current destination. Aside that Mr. Jabil is philanthropist and have genuine concern of helping the needy.
He rose from the ranks as an active duty soldier; as a Private First Class to a lieutenant after his six years of dedicated service to the US Army, he then join the US Department of Defense as a Civilian Financial Management Analyst. Mr. Jabil story is amazingly interesting! And should be told to inspire those who find themselves in similar situation that they should be hopeful and with determination everything in life is possible. He has a wide range of expertise including but not limited to financial budgeting, audit, compliance, securities, accounting principles and procedures, compiling and analyzing disbursements, encumbrances, and related data. Also knowledgeable in managerial critiques of budget requests, budget preparation, consulting and examination.
He has an enviable academic pedigree from various world ranking Institutions. He obtained his Bachelors of Science (BS) – Business Administration from Ashworth College (USA). He proceeded to acquire his Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Finance from American University also in USA. In his pursuit for more academic qualification he further obtained Master of Laws (LLM) – Corporate Finance Law at the Westminster Law School; University of Westminster, London (UK).
He is currently pursuing a Doctoral studies in Finance with Liberty University (USA), before leaving the shores of Ghana, Apor as he is affectionately called by his peers’ attained Part II certificate of Chartered Accountancy Ghana.
In the world of professional belongings Mr. Jabil is a member of various recognized Associations in the United States and these includes, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), International Project Finance Association (IPFA), Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana (ICAG).
As vibrant young man, Jabil has received various recognitions from US Army to include; US Army Commendation Medal, US Army Good Conduct Medal, US National Defense Service Medal, US Global War and Terrorism Service Medal , US Army Services Ribbon, US Overseas Services Ribbon and US Army Certificate of Achievement (3Awards).
